CONSUMER TRIALS – No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED Serums have been consumer tested on more than 2,600 women. Two of these trials (one for new No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED Serum and one for new No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Serum) involved in-home testing over eight weeks on nearly 1,400 women, who all used the new products on an everyday basis as part of their normal skincare regime. Each of these trials tested on:

  • approx. 200 UK women who usually used the existing or original No7 Protect & Perfect Serums
  • approx. 200 UK women who did not use an anti-ageing serum in their skincare regime
  • approx. 300 UK women who used other top-selling competitor serums in Boots.

Consumer trials on women in Asia and the USA were also carried out.

 

Why conduct consumer trials?
To show how well the products work in everyday life.

Even when the clinical trials show excellent results, the experts at No7 want to know what women think about using the new products in real life. As good as it is to know that a product is improving skin in a way that can be measured by the latest sophisticated imaging technology or observed by a dermatologist, today’s skincare buyer needs to know that there will be a result that she – or he – can see in the mirror, that bothersome wrinkles will be genuinely and visibly softened.

To achieve this means putting a product through extensive consumer trials on significant numbers of women, who use the product as they normally would in real life, not in a laboratory.

 

Proven to deliver even better anti-ageing results than the original No7 Protect & Perfect Serums

So, the clinical trials show excellent results – but what about in real life? As good as it is to know that a product is improving skin in a way that can be clinically graded by dermatologists, today’s skincare buyer wants to know that there will be a result that she can see in the mirror. Hence the consumer trials, which have been conducted on more than 2,600 women across both serums and show the benefits that women trying out the products perceive for themselves.

The results of these consumer trials show one thing very clearly: that the new serums give results, and quickly.

After just four weeks, on the discerning existing No7 users, 86% of the women trialling No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED Serum and 83% of the women trying out No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Serum have noticed a reduction in the fine lines on their faces. Almost as many (85% and 81% respectively) feel they already look younger.

 

Better than what the women are currently using

Among the test group of women who didn’t normally use a serum as part of their beauty regime, there is great eagerness to make it a new daily ritual. 79% of the group that tested No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Serum would add it in to their No7 regime without hesitation, and 81% of those trialing No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED Serum would do the same.

Even women who were previously wedded to other competitor serums swiftly had their heads turned by the noticeable benefits of the new products. An overwhelming 80% of those who tried No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Serum say they saw better anti-ageing results with the test serum than with their current product, and 81% of them would be likely to buy the test serum instead of what they are currently using. The equivalent figure is 86% for the group trying No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED; 84% of these women would abandon their current serum and swap to the new product – No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED Serum – without a backwards glance.

The importance of a beauty regime

In order to get the best results, the new No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED Serums should be used as part of a regular beauty regime. They need to be applied twice a day, morning and evening. During the day, the skin needs to be protected with a day cream that contains broad-spectrum UV filters, such as No7 Protect & Perfect Day Cream which contains SPF15 and 5-star UVA protection. It is important to use a protective day cream to safeguard the repair to the skin that as been made by the serum.
